Our Love Story

We met in 2012, at the tennis courts of Norwalk High. What started off as two teens sharing their overly dramatic view on life turned into a friendship. We started our friendship over a mutual agreement, but what we didn’t expect was to become the best of friends. Spending each of our free times during school to hang out to looking for each other in the crowded cafeterias. I (the bride) even started bringing him food from my cooking class, and I don’t share my food lightly. I (The Groom) found myself being protective over the girl I had convinced my self was just a friend. On our graduation date I (the groom) thought our friendship would end like most do. I (the bride) have a year book signed with him(the groom) saying our friendship had an expiration date of our graduation. Yet we spent every day that summer texting and getting to know each other further. At this point it was clear to us that our friendship meant more to each other than we thought. What started off as a self reflecting entry in my (the bride) journal turned into an 11 page confession of feelings for him, which I never thought I’d give to him. After meeting at town square on August 19, 2012 we sat on a bench and she handed me this stack of papers that was a giant letter. I sat there for what felt like and hour, nervous and embarrassed all at once, while he read it. It been 13 years since that date and I still have the letter, which I carried with me everyday 10 years before I put away to preserve it. On August 19, 2023 we got engaged and are now super excited to start a very long awaited chapter of our lives as husband and wife. We would like our guests to share in our excitement and share this wonderful day with us as we celebrate our love.
